  • The last absence without queries was long ago, or never happened
  • There is no deputy with real decision-making authority, only one with access
  • A health scare raised the question, not a business one

  • Not who gets informed in an emergency, but who is allowed to decide
  • Which matters stall and which keep running when nobody signs off
  • Which knowledge sits with you alone, and how long operations hold without it
What does not help
  • Naming a deputy without giving them decision rights
  • Compiling an emergency folder and leaving the dependency untouched
